DESCRIPTION:In this Deep Dive Managing Director Matthias Gronstedt (HHLA Sky GmbH)\, human-technology interaction expert Prof. Thomas Hofmann and UX Designer Rebecca Heinsohn\nwill walk us through their award-winning project „ ICC – Integrated control center “. \nThe Integrated control center from HHLA Sky and USE institute for user systems engineering is the world’s first cyber-secured certified management tool for automated drone operations and autonomous robots. This browser-based software was developed to plan\, control and monitor missions independent of location and covers the complete process chain. The control center is perfectly adapted to the different types of drones and missions\, guaranteeing an optimal and smooth process. \nUXDA Jury members Tracy Rolling & Gennett Aku Agbenu \n“The jury was impressed by the calm and structured display of complex information that the Integrated Control Center offers to drone pilots. The interface is remarkably clean and the iconography is clear. Information is clustered in a way that makes it easy for pilots to manage their fleet. All drone missions are managed centrally from a single control center. Notifications to pilots can be prioritized\, and the highly automated centralized system cuts operating costs for customers. SUMMARY:Between Realities
DESCRIPTION:An immersive concert experience situated between analogue and virtual space makes up the Mahler Chamber Orchestra’s concert project “Between Realities” on Easter Monday. Together with violinist Pekka Kuusisto and sound specialist Henrik Oppermann/Schallgeber\, the orchestra explores space and sound at the interface of different levels of reality\, raising questions concerning the “realism” of performance as well as dreams\, imagination and fantasy. A particular focus lies on Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s suite from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”\, which the Mahler Chamber Orchestra performs not only live but also for the first time in a virtual reality performance. \nOver the course of a long concert night\, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra presents works by composers including Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy\, Charles Ives and Nico Muhly. The analogue concerts are complemented by the VR installations “Future Presence I\, II & III”\, which invite audiences to draw closer to the music of Mozart\, Ives and Mendelssohn Bartholdy than ever before: with the aid of VR glasses and headsets\, audience members can freely move around (or through/over/under) the ensemble\, thereby expanding and rediscovering the process of listening.
